Using long macro lenses on the motion control rig at slow shutter speeds allowed the shots to have a beautiful lack of depth of field.
Shot as a series of Raw stills- 3 second exposures @f22- then creating 6k.mov files in After Effects these super Hi Res clips have an Incredibly deep depth of field in a very low light setting.

Ubuntu charity through Publicis UK commissioned Charlie to travel to Port Elizabeth, SA and work with the children to create this film. The animation was hand coloured by a group of Ubuntu kids under the guidance of Charlie. It took 1800 photos captured by Charlie and all within one week to create the film. Post production was done in-house at Itch studio in London. Produced by Lucy Paul.
